ABOUT ABRATECH CORPORATION:
Abratech is a small business solely devoted to developing and exploiting new techniques to analyze human brain waves using computer-intensive analyses. The new methods show previously-unsuspected correlated neural activity related to ultra-short memory (< 50 ms) and possible associative-memory processing. Auditory and visual evoked responses are studied in humans when awake, napping, and asleep. Also we are investigating several clinical applications including sleep and alertness studies. Diagnostic tests are developed under collaborative projects with universities. Future projects may include 1) visual potentials related to word recognition, and 2) consolidation of sequential learning by REM sleep. Work atmosphere similar to cutting-edge university lab. Interesting (sometimes exciting) work with intelligent co-workers. Research supported by NIH grants. Research Director is Emeritus Professor from UCSF, with international reputation, and very high scientific standards. We are located in Sausalito, CA, 15 min north of San Francisco. The region has mild weather, many miles of hiking trails, lots of cultural activities.
